The sixth annual NASA Robotic Mining Competition was held from May 17 to May 22 at Kennedy Space Center. Check out this awesome competition video from NASA for more information and footage!

2015 RMC Competition Photos

The 2015 NASA Robotic Mining Competition was very successful for the Alabama Astrobotics Team. We worked to improve our designs from the year before and optimize the best qualities in our 2015 robot. We competed with a robot that utilized the well-tested digger head much like the one in our 2014 design; however, the best new feature was our off-loading conveyor belt which was a first for our designs. We look forward to next cycle with even more ideas of what features to improve upon to find the optimal design for this project.
